Board

Kai’Mia Community is overseen by a volunteer board, elected from our membership base in line with our constitution.

Terry Likidis is a retired Finance Professional and CPA with extensive experience working for multinationals and SMEs across the Manufacturing, Import, Wholesale and Distribution sectors.
As a results-focused and Bachelor of Business (Accounting) qualified professional, Terry is skilled at improving processes, increasing efficiencies, driving growth, and educating stakeholders. He has a proven track record of monitoring financial information, managing reporting and project deliverables, and translating complex information into easy to understand language informing key decision-making. Terry adds value with robust accounting, operations, IT, administration, project management and presentation skills.

Kaye Herald joined as a member of our board in 2017, taking on the role of Chairperson in 2020. She has held various board memberships and is currently a Director of LGK Management Pty Ltd. With a Master of Arts and a Grad Dip in Financial Managment, Kaye demonstrates a keen focus on building businesses. As Managing Director, Asia Pacific and Oceania, Kaye worked from 2005 – 2014 for the global property professional body, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. She was responsible for the growth in membership, revenue and returns for the region. Kaye has worked as a CEO with Urbis in the Professional Services Industry from 1999 for five years. Kaye’s initial introduction to General Management was with various roles in the logistics industry sector. Predominantly with the TNT group of companies across Queensland and New South Wales providing the basis for her resolve for equal opportunity based on ability.

Kaye was honoured to be recognised as the Cronulla Senior of the Year for 2024, for her volunteer contribution with GCAIS.

Nigel Pender is a CPA-qualified professional accountant with extensive experience in financial management and accounting within leading Australian retail companies, emphasising a results-driven approach, accuracy in financial reporting, continuous process improvement, and a commitment to quality and integrity as a reliable team player.

Nigel is currently Financial Controller for a local Sutherland Shire based international manufacturing company. A member of the Certified Practising Accountants  (CPA) and holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting).

Nigel believes in the strength of financial stewardship to make a positive impact, and is passionate about using his accounting skills, knowledge and experience to help not-for profit community organisations and charities achieve their financial goals and create lasting benefits for the community to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Raji Navis combines technical expertise with a strong commitment to community well-being. A civil engineer with a Master’s in Climate Change Policy, she brings over 30 years of leadership in government infrastructure, managing multimillion-dollar programs, driving sustainability, and improving processes. Her personal journey as a migrant across four countries shapes her inclusive leadership and fuels her passion for equality and meaningful community connections. Beyond her engineering career, Raji studied trauma-informed healing, yoga, meditation, and Somatic Mindful Guided Imagery®. She supports community members through her Yoga My Love studio and BodyWiseMind.com to foster purposeful living, clarity, and resilience. Guided by values of equality, innovation, and respect, Raji is dedicated to advancing Kai’Mia Community’s initiatives in multicultural services, settlement programs, and community well-being.
